Overview
Sphot watches a designated Google Drive folder for new video files. When you upload footage, the system automatically detects and processes it.
Setup Steps
1. Navigate to Settings
Go to Settings > Connections in your Sphot dashboard.
2. Click "Connect Google Drive"
You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen. Sphot requests read-only access to your Drive files — we never modify or delete anything in your Drive.
3. Select Your Folder
After authorization, choose or create a folder for your raw footage. We recommend creating a dedicated folder like "Sphot Footage."
4. Verify Connection
Back in Settings, you should see a green "Connected" status with your selected folder name.
Supported Formats
Sphot accepts all common video formats:
- MP4 (recommended)
- MOV
- AVI
- MKV
- WEBM
Tips
- Resolution: 1080p or higher recommended. Sphot can work with lower resolution but output quality scales with input quality.
- Organization: You can create subfolders within your Sphot folder to organize footage by topic or date.
- Batch uploads: Upload multiple files at once — Sphot processes them in parallel.
- Storage: Sphot downloads footage for processing and stores it temporarily. Raw files are deleted after 30 days. Your Drive files are never modified.
